Sewing Patterns In My Art

I had a great time at Neil Elliott's Mixed Media/Abstract Painting Workshop gluing sewing patterns onto three canvases and then painting a wash over them.

All 3 paintings - works in progress....

    I like the effect of the paper on the canvas Michelle. They are quite big, aren't they? Looking forward to seeing what you do.

    Burning holes in canvas?? Now thats brave! I am way too cheap:) I am loving your sewing patterns...like tissue, makes cool textures.LOve the dress! Off to find your post about the 30 by 30 by 30...love this idea and want to find out more about it. Have you started yet? Hope you are well! Julie
